Lydia is in so many after school programs, I can't keep up! Karate every day, Scholars bowl once a week, Girl Scouts once a week and compititions in between and on week-ends. This week-end was Karate Tournament of Champions. She won 1st place in Forms, 2nd place in Fighting and 3rd place in Weapons.

Keeping up with her and my full time job and selling Avon is a little more than I bargained for. I try to set goals, but they backfire or get put aside. I don't have any time left to work on my websites I have.

Setting Goals

I have learned from www.athomeresources.com the value of setting goals. This is something that I have often done but have never followed through or even rememered what my goals where to begin with.
The idea is to set small obtainable goals by writing them down. Start small, say daily or weekly goals, make a list and check it often to see where you are at. Or if you like set daily, weekly, monthly, yearly or longer goals all at once; keep a journal.
When you look back over your list and see what all you have accomplished that you set out to do you will be amazed and inspired to do more.
I have reached my first daily/weekly goals I had set and feel great and am ready to set another weekly goal and even go for bigger longer goals.
Even if you fail to reach some of your goals, you will have them in writing and be able to relfect and see just where it was that you went wrong and be able to learn from your mistakes. So don't get discouraged if you don't reach all of your goals, use that to improve.

Today I had a small make-over to improve my self image. I want to be successful at having a home business selling Avon and needed a change to make myself feel more confident. This was not done proffesionally, just a friend where I work at a small electronics place. Hopefully each day I can become more confident in myself to reach higher to achieve my goals.

However you chose to save or make money at home you need to connect with others in your area of concern. When I was doing PTR/PTC programs to make money I joined those type of forums. They will keep you updated on new programs and who is paying and who is scamming.
When I was doing auctions to make money I joined likewise forums, a few of those you have to pay a small yearly or monthly fee. Paying the fee got me at first but then after I realized the hardwork the admins put into the sites I didn't mind it so bad. Most will do thier best to keep the scammers at bay. Every now and then a few will slip through the cracks but you can bet the same ones will not scam over and over before being found out.
I have always glanced at WAHM forums, read them often just didn't post very often. That was a grey area for me, I really wasn't sure my direction in life. Most of them where way over my head in a way. I didn't call what I did WAH, I called it SAH (stay at home). I am glad I kept the links in my bookmarks because I am becoming more active in those type forums now.
So besides just reading blogs and visiting other links, get involved! Get with others that share your same passions. You get to stay up on the latest news in your area of concren, exchange ideas of ways to improve your needs. Helping others while helping yourself can also bring great joy to your life.
I have joined many many forums in my life many have come and gone but a few I have a real connection to and feel as if the board members are just like family. I still get cards at Christmas and my birthday from a few of these friends I have met online over the years. Whatever direction my life takes me I always have a place to go to when I need support. Sometimes thats all we need is a little push from friends to find what our real potential is. Anyways my point is, you don't have to go at this alone! Join a forum or 2 and find people that share your goals, making and saving money is something that many many people like. (Most people, lol).

Get those freebie samples, sweepstakes entries and other forms filled quickly with roboform. I have been using this ever since gator went spyware and haven't had a problem since. You tell it what info you want it to fill out after you download it. Then it stays across the top of your browser and you click fill in when you see the boxes in forms hightlighted yellow.
It will save you lots of time from manually punching in all of that info, no matter how fast you can type! A 1 click to add all info is super fast.

I have been a memer of this one for years and get paid several times a year from them in giftcards, gas giftcards is what I turn my points in for.
I have let many of my PTC/PTR sites go, but this one comes in my email every day and very quick and painless process. No set time limit to keep link open, nothing else to do jusy click it and look and leave if not interested.
The earnings depends on what all you use the site for, I rarely do anything other than read the emails and take an occassional survey. This activity will earn me a few $10 gascards a year. A few years back I was buying a lot of stuff through best buy and earned twice the amount of gas cards as normal.
I won't be bringing you many of the PTC/PTR unless one of my readers specifically ask for them. I did LOVE them once upon a time, but who has the time? I have done thousands of these sites, seen a few make it big and seen a ton fail. This activity took up way too much of my time with very little to show from it. So I just kept a few of my favorites, ones that never hassle me when time to cash out. As well as the easiest of all, straight in my email! No hunting down a bunch of sites and stuff. Harris Poll Online has been one of my favorite survey sites for several years now. It is free to join and only takes 5 to 25 minutes to complete surveys. You are awarded points for each survey you complete or atempt to complete. Yes! You get credit even if your not able to complete the survey. I think it is like 5 points if you click the email link and try to do the survey if they reject you for any reason. If they take you, you get up to 25 points and sometimes you will be asked to take an aditional survey for even more points.
I don't get many surveys these days, about maybe 3 to 5 a week. They base the people they want on different stuff, like if you have kids, if your in certain income range, if you have higher education or not. Each survey is interested in a different group of people so never lie, just be yourself! You will get surveys.
The best part of it is that you save the points you get and turn them in for giftcards. I have earned several $5 and $10 giftcards per year with them. I know it's not much, but it doesn't take a lot of time to fill the surveys out either. If you combined enough of the sites together and save them all and cash out once per year for like vacation or Christmas you can have a nice stack of cards in your hand. I have had over $600 at one time before after saving up just in giftcards. I wasn't working at home or away from home either so my husband was really excited when I showed him my "Vacation Envy"(That is what I called the envelope I was saving up for vacation of course.)

How Free Samples Save you Money

I had someone to ask me just how free samples where suposed to save them money, they thought it a waste of time. Even my husband thought I had gone mad when I first learned about signing up for all the free stuff that I could find. I explained to them a few ideas besides all the fun I have doing it. We used to go on vacation for a week in July. I saved all year long all of the samples I had gotten in the mail. At the time it was 4 of us, me hubby and 2 girls. I had enough samples so we did not have to spend extra money on those tiny trial size bottles that cost you $1 or more per bottle. We had toothpaste, deoderant, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bug guard, sunblock, 1st aid supplies, medicines, ect... All free! No need to buy small sizes for everyones travel bags or trying to fit your household supllies on hand. Best of all, you use the samples up and have a little more room to bring back more stuff.
Another idea is saving all the free samples and making gift baskets at Christmas or birthdays or any time you know someone that needs a pick me up. I gave baskets to a few elderly people on fixed incomes, I couldn't believe how much this excited them. They where happy with the company and seems some of the items are luxery items that we all think is essentials. One couple had carried on so much about the baskets that I traded online with others that stockpiled these samples and made even more baskets the next year. A few of my close friends on a trading board even asked for the couples NAZ and sent them refills for thier baskets! These free samples where so greatly apreciated by them and I saved money on buying other things that they would not have valued so much. They would have apreciated ANYTHING, don't get me wrong. Most people still go with the idea of "It's the thought that counts." But if you could have seen the look on thier faces you would understand.
This idea is kind of a repeat of the 1st one, but you can tuck them away in your kids overnight bags to grandma's house. My 10 year old still gets a kick out of having her own personal stash. Especially if it's fun samples such as bubble gum flavored toothpaste, perfume samples, bubble bath ect...
The next one that comes to mind is stay at home mom auction sites or trading boards. Items that you can't use or your friends can't use, trade them for items that you can use. This 1 site many years back where giving away free condoms. I gathered a whole box of them in no time. I traded them for decorated band-aids. My baby was hooked on these things and back then like 7-8 years ago they where nearly $4 a box. I stocked up enough band-aids she played hurt all the time for months. I kept a secret stash away of course in case of real need.
So a little extra time spent can save you money, it may not be a lot, but like they always say "A penny saved is a penny earned".

Totally Freebies

Today I would like to rant about sites that advertise TOTALLY FREE STUFF; What a rip off! I love going to sites that give away free stuff, where all you have to do is enter your basic info and click submit. My mailbox used to stay full every day from doing this. Mostly is was free samples, every now and then full sizes.
Where have all the sites gone? You have to dig very deep beyond the 1st page google listings or whatever search engine that you use. They have stuck real freebies so far in the back it takes a genious to find them.
Signing up your credit card and paying S&H is NOT totally free people! Nor is buying 1 product to get this product concidered totally free. This may be great for some people but not me. Sites that advertise totally freebies should start off with a section of real totally freebies. Everything else should be labeled as such. Free when you buy or free with s&h or whtever the case may be. Seems some people have lost thier prospective.

Test Drives

If anyone knows any good new test drives, please drop me a line! I need to start saving up some gift certificates for vacation this year.
Anyone who doesn't know what I am talking about, you are missing out. You can do this for a variety of products and services but for now we are going to talk about auto's. I visit auto makers websites and sign up to download a free form to take a test drive. First I look and see who has the best offers. You can get some really neat FREE stuff for taking a few minutes to test a new car out. Half the time you don't even need to test the car out! Just tell them you are there for the free gift, some will be very nice, take your test drive form and give you your gift.
The gifts range in different stuff, visa debit cards sometimes $50 to $100, giftcards, baby car seats, CD's, DVD's, and so on. Too much to list here not to mention that I'd probably forget hundreds of items.
For me its always the giftcards! If I had the free time, I would do some of the other test drives. I have friends who make a list and visit several car dealerships in the same day. Another thing you can do is add it to your to do list on days you have a little time to kill.

Free Vacation Goodies

It's time for me to start googling stuff for vacation this summer. This year I would like to take advatange of the free Orlando Theme Park Tickets. They have them for Disney and for Universal. My Aunt told me when she goes every year she takes advantage of those siminars like I mentioned in the previous post. The good news about the ones at hot vacation spots is that the time you spend is less than the usual 90 minutes. The reason for this is that you do the siminar while you are on vacation already. Most are usually 30 minutes to 1 hour and you get free Theme Park passes. This will save you $100 or more alone.
You can google for any vacation hot spot that you like, I chose Orlando because I have to see that mouse! Disney is my favorite place on Earth.

Ever get junk mail about attending meetings for free dinners?Think that they are not worth it? Then throw them in the trash? STOP! All it takes is 90 minutes people. You get a free dinner and a really nice free gift.
I can remember my parents doing this when I was young. They got to leave us for a short time. Plus someone else picked up the tab, how sweet!

Its just a form of advertising, but they are advertising to a target group. In general they are not pushy at all when you get there. There will be enough people there that are interested and asking questions that you can get your gift/dinner and slip on out afterwards. NO pressure!!
So stop a few minutes and think next time before you throw that junk mail in the trash.

OverDue UpDate

Whew, it has been a long time since I last updated my blog. Bobby has finally gotten adjusted to his early retirement and I got a job outside of home for awhile.
Bobby goes for an interview Monday, keep your fingers crossed! It will be for 5 hours a day from 9 to 2, that way he can still get Lydia on and off the bus.
I am working at an electronics place for just a few months so won't be hard at it doing my online stuff for just a little while longer. I sure miss it! But we needed a little extra cash flow untill tax time when we can catch up on a few bills. I don't remember if I updated about his retirement check, they are coming weekly just fine, but miss the extra a lot.
I am doing just a few refunds and coupons these days, not enough time in the day for everything I need to do.
Will try and get a few sites posted that I am still using to make side cash, a few on my sidelinks are still working great! My Lot & Net Winners still good. Have no new referals, but getting paid again this month from My Lot! Love that free money, will help pay fues on one of my forums this month. This will be about my 4th payment from them. This month in my refunds I have really stepped it up a bit. Miller put out some really nice rebates!
Anyone who doesn't know what a rebate/refund is, you buy a certain product and send your cash receipt and the upc and a form in and they send you money back. Not all of them are cash back, sometimes it may be free coupons or magazine subscriptions or toys for kids. There is just so many possibilities!!
Got my free dr. pepper kit back from saving those labels, it was really nice! Got a T-Shirt, Baseball cap and lunch box, and cost me .39! What a great bargain.

Wine Tags Save Money

I was so thrilled today when I went to the grocery store. I found several new winetags.Anyone not knowing what a wine tag is, here's an explanation: It can be hanging around the neck of a wine botlle or on a tearpad on the wine isle. They are usually very high valued. The ones I found today where $1.00 off any Turkey that cost $1 or more. You do not need to buy the wine to get the discount. Another one was $2 off of olive oil, and we buy a lot of that! There where others like $1 and $2 off sausage, $1 off any holiday item, and few other great ones. These are also highly sought after because they are not available in all areas and they usuallydo not come in the sunday papers or anywhere else.
I will be saving a lot of money on my trip this week-end!

My real online money for the week

This is week number 2 on my new quest to earn real money online and it is just a little better than last week. In my paypal account I have recieved $37.00 from the paid to post site I am working at. Yes, it should have been more, but there was 3 days I was lazy and out of the house most of the day. Last week was just a little over $30 as well, but was new, it was my first week. My other ventures I won't post untill recieve actual pay. Will start a new post once a month with my total earnings from that month. I am happy that I am taking a step towards earning more online than before. My other programs are great and I will continue with them when I have time. But they are mostly to earn giftcards and I save them for vacation every year.
This year was an exception, we didn't take vacation waiting on Bobby's job to decide where it was going, so I gave him some of my giftcards from this years ernings. The ones I gave to him was $50 in gascards, $45 in Kmart cards, $35 in Walmart Cards and gave my daughter $30 in McDonalds cards, I still have my $160 in Dinsney Dollars and $25 Starbucks, I traded my other $50+ Starbucks cards because we had no starbucks at the time, we just got it in the past few months. And I traded the various movie tickets, and fastfood $'s that we wheren't going to use.
I believe there are others out there that are in the same boat I am in. I am in the process of making a new blog that will be linked at the side. The reason is, I am SICK to death of trying to find good programs online to make a few $ at just to get scammed again and to see it is something I can not do, no credit card to use, can't afford to sign up for all those deals just to get a suposedly free giftcard, have no referals so can't sign up to get freebies you need a ton of referals to recieve it. I want totally FREE ways to earn money. A little work is no problem, I can do the typing, clicking, ect...Just don't want to have to pay or all that other junk.

I kept hearing about this great new site that you pick lotto numbers or auto-pick to see if you've won. You get points and sometimes cash prizes. I need money now, can't wait for stuff like that, have done far too many of them sites in my days to waste time. Well these same people like a week later where already cashing in for giftcards. So I had to jump on the wagon if it was that easy.

I downloaded this google software for free and it is better than a few of the ones I paid for. I can manage all my photos in 1 place, and it even found photos on my pc I didn't even know that I had. I got some cool pics from my games that made great background pics on my movie slides. You will be amazed at all the things you can do with your pics using this software. Link is right there to the left.

KMART giftcard new policy

I have been doing all of the KMART deals where if you buy certain products you get a $5 or $10 KMART card. Today I took all of my cards to KMART and 2 of them said invalid. The cashier started to throw it in the trash telling me it had already been used. I said give them back of course and went to the front desk because I know for a fact I never used them, just got them about a month ago. The manager called and they gave her an addy for me to send them back to for a replacement. Seems they have been getting a lot of that. So they have taken off the service charges for non use in 24 months. I hope more of the places catch on and do this. I will not have to trade my unused cards right away after vacation and roll them over to the next year without worries.

This is my very 1st blog, I apreciate all opinions.
I am a SAHM in AL and love it. I have 2 beautiful daughters who are very smart. A wonderful Husband who has just retired early and going to drive me nuts soon!
